Product Description
A standard 3-ply disposable face mask consists of three distinct layers of non-woven fabric designed to filter airborne particles, dust, and droplets. Layer Construction
- Outer Layer: Made of hydrophobic (water-repellent) non-woven polypropylene fabric. It blocks external fluid splashes and droplets.
- Middle Layer: Made of melt-blown polypropylene filtration fabric. This is the core filter that traps bacteria, viruses, and fine dust particles.
- Inner Layer: Made of soft, hydrophilic (water-absorbent) non-woven fabric. It absorbs sweat and moisture from the user's exhaled breath Key Performance Specifications
- Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE): Standard medical-grade masks maintain a BFE 95% to 99% for particles sized around 3.0 m.
- Particle Filtration Efficiency (PFE): Typically PFE 95% for microscopic particles.
- Fabric Weight: Commonly structured between 20 to 25 GSM (Grams per Square Meter) per layer.
- Breathing Resistance: Differential pressure is usually < 29.4 Pa/cm to ensure easy breathability.
